Building Progress
We're Open!
|
We opened the new Cornhusker Bank Center for regular business conducted from floors one and two on Tuesday morning, December 6th, 2016. We celebrated with a grand opening week from January 7th through 14th, 2017.

Teller Line Taking Shape
|
The new teller line is taking shape with the counters and equipment for both the inside and the drive through lanes being installed. We hope you are as excited about seeing the completed building as Cornhusker Bank associates are.

Exterior Signage
|
With signage now on the outside of the building, a lot of the interior finish work is now taking place, and everything is reportedly on track for a late November/ early December occupation.

Drive Through Window
|
As we draw ever closer to our opening date, expected to be Tuesday, November 29, this view shows the drive through window on the East side of the building.

Hospitality Area Fireplace
|
Stonework is going up on the fireplace in the hospitality area, an area designed to be comfortable and relaxing for conversations.

Community Room Stonework
|
Outside stonework is now done on the northwest corner of the lower level of the new bank center. This area will house the community room.

New Access Road Poured
|
The new access road on the South side of the building has now been poured.
|
Community Room and Interior Finish Work
|
The curved structure on the north side of the building is the community room on the lower level of the bank. The interior finish work continues, as shown in the photo of 2nd floor, where windows are now installed and drywall is up on the interior walls.

Exterior Glass Installation
|
We grow closer to having the building totally enclosed with exterior glass installation taking place on third floor. We are still anticipating a late November to early December occupation of the building.

First Floor Retail Area
|
This photo, taken on June 13th gives you your first peek at the first floor retail area as you walk in the front door.

Spring 2016 Progress
|
Although recent storms in Lincoln caused a few problems at the building site, progress continues, as shown in this photo looking west from the east side of the building.

Limestone Being Added
|
The limestone exterior bands of the new center are being set in place. The circular inset is a closeup, giving us all an idea of what the finished product will look like. Limestone was chosen for the building, as it is a typical Nebraska building product.

Exterior Closing In
|
A view of the O street exposure on March 23rd shows the structure is showing great progress. Keep watching as the exterior of the building continues to close in.

Senior Management Tours Site
|
Interior work in the new Cornhusker Bank Center is beginning to define the spaces, as some of the members of the bank’s senior management team discovered on a tour of the site on March 15th.

March 2016 Progress

Concrete Filling Forms

As concrete continues to fill forms, and steel continues to be erected, the bank is anticipating occupying the new bank center in November of this year.

More areas of the new bank center get closed in on December 18th. Soon erection of steel for upper floors will occur.

External & Internal Walls
|
The new Cornhusker Bank Center is beginning to look like a real building, with both external and internal walls starting to give it form on October 23rd

Foundation Walls
|
With concrete foundation walls being poured, the new bank center is taking on a defined shape. We are looking forward to the first delivery of steel at the end of October.

Foundation Forms
|
Foundation forms are going in! Steel delivery for the building is expected in October. Wet weather continues to make progress on the center proceed slowly, but we are still aiming for a 2016 occupancy date.

Drilling the Pilings
|
Starting in July and running into August, 151 pilings were drilled and caps set on top of them to support the building’s foundation.
|
Basement
|
After a very soggy start to digging because of very rainy spring weather, excavation began to place the foundation for the new building.

Development Signage
|
In June of 2015, Cornhusker Bank’s signage was placed at 84th and O on the Russwood Development signage, announcing to all Cornhusker Bank’s coming presence in the area.

Groundbreaking
|
May 1st saw the official groundbreaking ceremony signaling the start of construction for the 55,000 square foot building. Participating in the ceremony were: CornhuskerBank Associates; Mayor, Chris Beutler; Lincoln Chamber of Commerce President, Wendy Birdsall; and representatives from Sinclair Hille Architects, Sampson Construction, and Brehm Enterprises.
