Report Suspicious Pop-ups, E-mails, and Websites
We have had reports of attempts to get customer information (phishing) through emails and the Internet. If you have encountered a suspicious website in an email or a pop-up window claiming to be from a Cornhusker Bank department such as Security, Customer Service or Technology, and you provided personal or financial information please follow the appropriate steps below to report the situation immediately. Remember, we have your information so we would not initiate a request for this information to “Validate” you or your accounts. There are many such scams circulating and if there is any question, call us before providing ANY information. Keeping your personal information safe is a priority for Cornhusker Bank and we use state of the art technology to ensure the safety of that information.

Step 1: Change your Access information.
Even if you are not sure your information has been compromised, you may want to change your Cornhusker Bank Internet Banking username and password. [Do not use your Social Security number as an ID or a password at any time.].

Go to Cornhusker Bank’s website at www.cornhuskerbank.com and select the link to "Contact Us" . Request a new ID, if you wish. You can always change your password through Internet banking.

Step 2: Contact Cornhusker Bank.

  • If you provided personal information via, Web site, pop-up window, or email, call 402-434-2230 during banking hours.At other times, leave a message when requested to do so and we will contact you.
  • If you did not provide any information , but just encountered email, Web site, or pop-up window, notify Cornhusker Bank by filling out and submitting the contact us form on our website or call us at 402-434-2265. Remember to NEVER provide personal or financial information via email.

When you call us, we will monitor the activity on compromised accounts. This may require us to place a hold on the account(s), which may slow normal processing of your transactions. Based on your situation we may take additional steps and may provide additional suggestions for you to protect yourself.

Step 3: Review your account activity.
Regular review of your account activity is one of the best ways to notice and quickly stop fraudulent activity. You can do this online, 24 hours a day, through Cornhusker Bank’s Internet Banking or via the 24-Hour Account Line at 402-434-2275. You can also check your balances at any ATM or call us at the above numbers. Remember to report suspicious activity to the Bank immediately.
