How many different checking accounts do you offer?
Cornhusker Bank offers five different checking accounts with one made to suite your needs.
- No minimum balance requirement, no monthly maintenance fee ... it's checking that's truly free! We don't short service to make it free - this account still provides an ATM card or VISA Check Card* plus telephone and Internet access, all at no cost.
- All the advantages of the Free Checking account, plus interest! Also available with this account: Free check image statements. Direct deposit is required. .
- Electronic banking is rewarded with a preferred rate and benefits. No minimum balance requirement, no monthly maintenance fee, free on-line check images and electronic monthly statement, free bank by mail package, and four free foreign ATM transactions per statement cycle.
- A very interesting account just for customers age 50 and over. Interest is earned on the collected account balance. There's no monthly maintenance fee and no minimum balance requirement. Checks and your initial VISA Check Card (subject to approval) are provided free.
- One more way to make checking more attractive. Earn interest on your collected account balance, with larger balances earning higher interest rates. There's no monthly maintenance fee when the minimum balance is maintained. Free initial VISA Check Card* included.
How much are Cashier's Checks?
- Cashier's Checks may be purchased at any Cornhusker Bank branch and are sold for $5.00. If you have a Premier checking account Cashier's Checks are free.
How much are Money Orders?
- Money Orders may be purchased at any Cornhusker Bank branch and are sold for $3.00. If you have a Premier checking account Money Orders are free.
Do you sell Travelers Checks and if so how much are they?
- Yes, Travelers Checks are sold at all Cornhusker Bank branches. One-signer checks are 1% of the total amount bought. Traveler's Checks are free to customers with Premier and Advantage checking accounts. Two signer Travelers Checks are 2% of the total amount bought.
How do I log onto Internet Banking for the first time?
- The login for Internet Banking will have moved to the top left of the home page
- Click on "First Time Login"
- Next you will be taken to an information screen asking for your account number and account type (checking or savings)
- Your password will be the last four digits of your social security number
- Create a security question that you may be asked to answer during Internet Banking sessions
- i.e. What is my dog's name? What are my favorite teams' colors?
- Please type the answer to your security question exactly as you will when asked to provide it
- Last, enter your mother's maiden name
- After this information is entered, you will click "submit" and be enrolled!
What is the Fee for Internet Banking?
- There are no charges associated with Internet Banking.
Can I get access to my account from the telephone?
- Yes. The 24 Hour Account Line gives you quick access to account activity information, transfers, interest rates around the clock, every day of the week. You can obtain information on checking, savings, Certificates of Deposit, and loans including current balances, most recent transactions, make transfers between accounts or make a loan payment. There is no fee for access to the 24 Hour Account Line. The first time you call the 24 Hour Account Line your pin # will be set at the last four digits of your social security number.

How do I pay my bills on the Internet?
- To pay your bills on the Internet you need to sign up for Internet Banking. Once you are have signed up for Internet banking you need to click on the button labeled “Bill Payment.” You will then be taken through the enrollment process.
Do you offer a Visa Check Card?
- Yes, the Visa Check Card works like your checkbook. You can use the Visa Check Card instead of writing a check at any business that accepts Visa, anywhere in the world. Every purchase is withdrawn from your checking account and recorded on your monthly statement.
